Kaitlin Omara of Westminster, Maryland was sentenced to 10 years incarceration on January 13, 2015 in the Queen Anne’s County Circuit Court for causing the death of a motorcyclist and his passenger in an August, 2013 fiery collision. The crash occurred at the Kent Narrows bridge on August 11, 2013 when Omara’s vehicle crossed the centerline and collided head on with the motorcycle, causing the motorcycle to burst into flames. At the time of the collision Omara’s blood alcohol concentration was .25, more than three times the legal limit.
The Judge sentenced Omara to 10 years incarceration, suspending 7 years. Omara will serve 3 years in the Queen Anne’s County Detention Center.
