On June 27, 2024, The Queen Anne’s County Circuit Court Judge sentenced William White Snyder, Jr. of Stevensville to 25 years, execution of the sentence suspended as to all but 16 years of active incarceration, on the Sex Abuse of a Minor, consecutive to 20 years, execution of the sentence suspended as to all but five years to serve on Possession with Intent to Distribute Cocaine. Mr. Snyder will be eligible for parole on the sexual offense after he serves 50% of the active portion of his sentence due to the fact that it is considered a crime of violence.  Upon his release from incarceration, Mr. Snyder will be on five years of supervised probation. Mr. Snyder will not be permitted to have contact with minors. Additionally, Mr. Snyder will be a Tier III Sexual Offender for the rest of his lifetime.

This sentence follows Mr. Snyder’s April pleas of guilty in Case Nos. C-17-CR-23-000473 and C-17-CR-23-000534).
