On July 10, 2018, Sharif Jadallah Talib, 35, of Timonium, entered a guilty plea to Distribution of Heroin and was sentenced to fifteen years in prison. Talib is currently serving two consecutive fifteen year sentences for drug distribution offenses in Worcester County. The fifteen year sentenced imposed on July 10 is to be served consecutively to the Worcester County sentences.
The events leading to the criminal charges and ultimate conviction occurred on November 29, 2017, when Talib drove to Queen Anne’s County to sell approximately 20 grams of heroin. The individual that Talib met with and sold to was actually an undercover police officer who had previously purchased large amounts of heroin and cocaine from Talib in other jurisdictions during this investigation.
Talib is currently awaiting trial for drug distribution offenses in Wicomico County as well. This case was prosecuted by Assistant State’s Attorney Jennifer Doud.
