On April 24, 2024, William White Snyder, Jr. of Stevensville entered a pleas of guilty in the Queen Anne’s County Circuit Court to Possession with Intent to Distribute Cocaine (Case No. C-17-CR-23-000473) and Sexual Abuse of a Minor (Case No. C-17-CR-23-000534).
After a long-term investigation into Mr. Snyder’s suspected drug activity, the Queen Anne’s County Drug Task Force executed a search and seizure warrant at his home on October 4, 2023. On that date, police located and seized over ten grams of cocaine which was intended by Mr. Snyder for sale. Further investigation revealed suspected, and later confirmed, evidence of sexual exploitation of a minor. These investigations were led by Queen Anne’s County Sheriff’s Deputies J. Miller, J. Rickard, and D. Sullivan.
Mr. Snyder will be sentenced on June 27, 2024. He has been held without bail since October 20, 2023. He is facing a potential penalty of 20 years of incarceration on the drug related matter and a potential of 25 years, consecutive, on the sexual abuse charge. He will be required to register as a sexual offender for life.
