A 22 year old Denton woman entered a guilty plea to conspiracy to commit felony theft on May 13, 2015 in the Queen Anne’s County Circuit Court. RB Baker and Sons discovered thousands of pounds of missing aluminum cans from their place of business and reported the theft to the Queen Anne’s County Sheriff’s Office.
Police began conducting surveillance of the business and caught Andrea Fauver and a co-defendant arrive at the business after hours and begin loading aluminum cans into the back of their car. Police immediately arrested Fauver and the co-defendant. During an interview with police, Fauver admitted to stealing a large volume of aluminum cans on multiple dates and then selling the cans at a scrap yard in Laurel, Delaware.
Ms. Favor had no prior criminal record and was sentenced to three years in jail and ordered to pay in excess of $5,000 in restitution to the business. All but 60 days of the jail sentence was suspended by the Court. After serving 60 days in the detention center Ms. Fauver will be on supervised probation.
The co-defendant in this case has also entered a guilty plea and is awaiting sentencing.
This case was prosecuted by Assistant State’s Attorney Leigh Darrell Dillon.
