On November 15, 2024, Rebekah Lynn Chaffins of Millington entered a plea of guilty to Possession with the Intent to Distribute Fentanyl.  Ms. Chaffins was sentenced by the Hon. C. Lynn Knight of the Queen Anne’s County Circuit Court to 20 years, execution of the sentence suspended as to all but ten years to serve. Upon her release from incarceration, Ms. Chaffins will be on supervised probation.

This conviction is based on a long-term investigation by the Queen Anne’s County Drug Task Force.  This investigation began in the later months of 2023 and culminated in the execution of search and seizure warrants on May 8, 2024 at Ms. Chaffins’ home on Little Glanding Road in Millington as well as her vehicle during the course of a traffic stop.  Ms. Chaffins was found with a felony amount of controlled dangerous substances which the Maryland State Police Crime Lab confirmed to be fentanyl, a schedule II controlled dangerous substance and xylazine, a non-controlled substance, a highly addictive combination that often causes fatal and non-fatal overdoses.

Ms. Chaffins was on probation for a 2021 Attempted Distribution of Cocaine in Queen Anne’s County. This most recent conviction resulted in a revocation of her probation and an additional five years to serve, consecutive to the new sentence.

Christine Dulla Rickard, Deputy State’s Attorney, prosecuted Ms. Chaffins.
