On April 4, 2024, Retired Judge Broughton Ernest sentenced a Marydel man to 25 years, suspending all but ten years to serve after a jury found him guilty of first degree assault on his wife.  This sentence will be consecutive to a 25 year sentence that was imposed on January 18, 2024 by Retired Judge Brett Wilson after he had been found guilty of Sexual Abuse of a Minor.

Christine Dulla Rickard, Deputy State’s Attorney, and Caitlin Robinson, Assistant State’s Attorney, prosecuted both of these criminal matters.
