On January 2, 2018, Scott Patrick Presley, in the Queen Anne’s County Circuit Court, entered a plea of guilty to Third Degree Sex Offense. This plea stems from an investigation, led by Detective J. Rickard of the Queen Anne’s County Office of the Sheriff, into an incident that occurred in Church Hill during the late spring of 2017.
Mr. Presley was subsequently sentenced on February 26, 2018 to 10 years in prison, with all but 18 months of the sentence suspended. The 18 month sentence will be served at the Queen Anne’s County Detention Center. Upon his release, Presley will be on 5 years of supervised probation and also required to register as a Tier II Sex Offender. Mr. Presley was represented by Benjamin Herbst. This matter was prosecuted by Christine Dulla Rickard, Deputy State’s Attorney. Judge Thomas G. Ross presided over the matter.
