On January 25, 2024, Defendant Wayne H. Spence, Jr. of Dorchester County entered a plea of guilty to Possession with the Intent to Distribute Cocaine.  He was sentenced on this same date to 15 years, execution of that sentence suspended as to all but two years to serve with 36 months to follow his release from incarceration.

This case also was investigated by the Talbot County Drug Task Force which executed a search warrant on Mr. Spence and his vehicle which were found at the Prospect Bay County Club on June 29, 2023.  Mr. Spence was found to be in possession of 54 grams of cocaine.
