On August 9, 2018, before the Honorable Thomas G. Ross of the Queen Anne’s County Circuit Court, William Carl Jobe, II (107 Bufflehead Court in Chester, MD) entered a plea of guilty to Third Degree Sexual Offense. On October 2, 2018, Mr. Jobe was sentenced to ten years to the Division of Corrections, execution of that sentence suspended as to all but five years to serve and placed on five years of supervised probation to commence upon his release from incarceration. This sentence is consecutive to a two year parole violation that Mr. Jobe is required to serve.  Additionally, Mr. Jobe’s probation will be supervised by the Sex Offender Management Program of the Maryland Department of Parole and Probation.   This probation, in addition to standard conditions of probation, will required additional face to face check-ins and higher levels of monitoring and specialized therapies. Mr. Jobe has a major criminal record and will be required to register as a child sexual offender for 25 years.

Mr. Jobe’s conviction stems from a multi-disciplinary investigation involving the Queen Anne’s County Child Advocacy CARE (Child Abuse Response and Evaluation) Team which is comprised of a number of community partners including, but not limited to, Department of Social Services, the Queen Anne’s County Office of the Sheriff Criminal Investigations Unit, For All Seasons, and the Queen Ann’es County State’s Attorney’s Office.

Mr. Jobe was represented by The Office of the Public Defender.  The case was prosecuted by Christine Dulla Rickard, Deputy State’s Attorney.
