Jessica L. Davidson, the newest member of State’s Attorney Lance Richardson’s team, was sworn in as Assistant State’s Attorney on October 31, 22 at the Circuit Court for Queen Anne’s County by the Clerk of the Circuit Court, Katherine Hager.

Ms. Davidson graduated from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2007. She also graduated from Northeastern University with a Master of Science in Criminal Justice in 2009. Her academic endeavors culminated with a Juris Doctor from Rutgers University Law School in 2018, with a specialization in Criminal Justice. Ms. Davidson is licensed to practice law in both Maryland and New Jersey.

Ms. Davidson is the former Law Clerk to the Honorable Lynn Knight. She completed her clerkship in the Circuit Court for Queen Anne’s County for the 2021-2022 term. Ms. Davidson also served as a District Court Commissioner from 2018-2021 and as a Baltimore City Police Officer from 2015-2018. Her experience from policing in an urban environment in conjunction with performing the essential duties of both District Court Commissioner and Law Clerk have provided Ms. Davidson with a unique understanding of Maryland’s criminal justice system.
