On November 3, 2015, Patrick Brandon Wheeler, 19 of Stevensville, entered a guilty plea to Conspiracy to Commit Third Degree Sexual Offense.
Wheeler’s guilty plea stemmed from an incident that occurred on January 11, 2015 in which a juvenile female reported being plied with alcoholic beverages by the Defendant and another male subject. According to the female she became disoriented and the two males then had sexual intercourse with her. Due to her intoxicated state, the juvenile female did not consent to the sexual acts. A joint investigation by detectives from the Queen Anne’s County Sheriff’s Office and the Maryland State Police resulted in the gathering of physical evidence that corroborated the facts reported by the female victim.
Mr. Wheeler is facing 10 years incarceration and a sentencing hearing has been set for January 12, 2016 in the Queen Anne’s County Circuit Court.
This case was prosecuted by Christine Dulla Rickard, Deputy State’s Attorney, and Leigh Dillon, Assistant State’s Attorney.
