Police conducting a drug investigation executed a search and seizure warrant on a Centreville apartment in June, 2015 which resulted in Dontez Tingle, 34, and William Eric Legg, 34, being charged with drug offenses.
On October 28, 2015 both men appeared in the Queen Anne’s County Circuit Court. Tingle entered a guilty plea to possession of cocaine, as a subsequent offender, and was then sentenced to 8 years in prison. All but one year of the sentence was suspended, which will require Tingle to serve one year at the Queen Anne’s County Detention Center. Upon his release, Tingle will be on three years of supervised probation. Legg also entered a guilty plea to possession of heroin, as a subsequent offender, and was ordered held without bail pending a sentencing hearing at a later date.
Assistant State’s Attorney Jennifer Doud prosecuted these cases.
