Daryl Stottlemyer of Sudlersville appeared in the Queen Anne’s County Circuit Court on April 16, 2015 and entered a guilty plea to Sexual Solicitation of a Minor. The guilty plea stemmed from an investigation conducted by detectives from the Maryland State Police in which Stottlemyer solicited two small children, a six year old and a three year old, for sexual contact on August 1, 2014. Both children were subsequently interviewed at the Queen Anne’s County Child Advocacy Center and provided details of the crime.
Mr. Stottlemyer was interviewed by detectives and admitted to the conduct described by the victims. He was subsequently arrested and charged with the crimes. Sentencing for Stottlemyer will be held on June 16, 2015. Stottlemyer is facing 10 years of incarceration and will be required to register as a Tier II Sex Offender for 25 years.

UPDATE:
On June 16, 2015 Stottlemyer was sentenced to 10 years incarceration, the sentence was suspended. He was placed on five years of supervised probation. Mr. Stottlemyer is to have no contact with children under the age of 16 and will be required to register as a Tier II Sex Offender for 25 years.
